January 31, 2021 ~ Isaiah 9:1-4, Matthew 4:12-17

OT:Isaiah 9:1-4

NT: Matthew 4:12-17

Dear friends,

Sometimes we look at the unrest of the world around us and feel like giving up on our mission. We are dismayed by the violence, injustice, and lawlessness around us.  Surely the Old Testament prophet Jonah felt that way when he fled from God's calling instead of going to preach to the corrupt city of Nineveh.

God agreed with Jonah that the city was wicked. But in his compassion God had plans to deal graciously with Nineveh just as he would with deal kindly with Jonah.

Let us remember God's love for his church as well as for this broken world, and gather together to hear God's word and to encourage each other in his mission for us.

In Christ's love,

Pastor Randy
